Covington Rips 3 HR

For Wes Covington, it was not an average day at the ballpark.
Fans at Three Rivers Stadium watched Covington power the Toronto Maple Leafs to a win, 11-9, over the Louisville Redbirds, blasting a trifecta of home runs.
"I've always loved hitting in Three Rivers Stadium," the left fielder told reporters following his big day. "You can see the ball so well."
For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs.
Wes Covington walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Hal Carlson in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, hit a two-run home run off Bill Fischer in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Joe Callahan in the 11th.
This season, Covington is hitting at a .294 pace with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and has scored 23 times.
