Injury Derails Season for Whisler Tuesday, May 8th , 2001 Wes Whisler had to wait several agonizing days to find out his diagnosis after suffering a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament on 05/06/2001. Today he received word from the Buffalo doctor that he would be out the rest of the year. Team officials called it a huge setback but something they would have to overcome. For the year, Whisler has earned 6 saves, made 10 relief appearances, fanned 13 hitters in 9.2 innings and posted an ERA of 5.59 and a 0-1 record. |
