Red-Hot Ventura AAA Player of the Week Monday, May 14th , 2001 One of the league's most exciting young players, Robin Ventura of the Cincinnati Tigers earned himself WBL Triple A Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 24-year-old third baseman had a lofty .429 average (12-for-28), collecting 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. To date Ventura has chalked up a .292 average with 13 home runs, driven in 25 runs and scored 26 times. |
