Hartford Southpaw Tosses 3-0 Shutout Wednesday, May 16th , 2001 The Cincinnati Tigers met their match today in Hartford hurler Rube Waddell. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Cincinnati skipper Nate DeVore said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 3-0 victory, Waddell whiffed 7 and gave up 4 walks. |
