Baylor Strokes 3 HR Against San Antonio Monday, May 21st , 2001 The San Antonio Missions won't soon forget the display of raw power by Don Baylor of the Seattle Rainiers. He victimized the Missions by pounding three pitches out of Alamodome to spark his club to a win, 15-4. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Baylor told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Don Baylor hit a two-run home run off Elton Chamberlain in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Will Ohman in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Will Ohman in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Baylor has batted at a .233 pace with 21 hits, 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 11 times. |
