Tides Garry Maddox Wins AAA Award Monday, June 18th , 2001 Garry Maddox is respected by most Norfolk Tides fans for his no-frills style of play. The 30-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the WBL Triple A Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (9-for-18) with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. A look at his season totals shows Maddox with 13 home runs, .263 BA, .282 OBP, 38 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
