Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl

Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Louisville-Queens contest at Shea Stadium. The Redbirds Paul Waner and the Kings Jordan Zimmermann will have to sit out 4 and 9 games respectively for their parts in the brawl.
This season, Waner is batting .304 with 76 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 42 times and has 37 runs batted in.
In 9 starts this year, Zimmermann has posted 3 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 58.2 innings, allowed 81 hits, struck out 57 and has a 6.44 ERA.
