Norfolk Southpaw Tosses 3-0 Shutout
Tuesday, June 26th , 2001
Jack Kralick bent a little, but he didn't break against the Newark Eagles. The Norfolk Tides pitcher hurled a 4-hit, 3-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 1 walk and tallying 4 strikeouts.
"Jack is good at getting out of jams," Tides manager Ian Siebert told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
On his stats sheet for the year Kralick shows a 5-3 record, 9 starts, 56 innings, 59 strikeouts and a 5.46 ERA.
