Chance Electric in 4-0 Win Thursday, June 28th , 2001 New Orleans hurler Dean Chance put on quite a show, as he blitzed the St. Louis Blues with a 4-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 3 hits with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win. "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," St. Louis manager Ernie Lyons told reporters after the game. This year, Chance has a 5-1 record with a 3.94 ERA in 9 starts. |
