Elmer Valo Captures AAA Award Monday, July 2nd , 2001 Elmer Valo of the Las Vegas Aces might have lost a step over the years, but the 35-year-old right fielder can still get it done. He beat out several other worthy WBL Triple A hitters over this past week to claim the Player of the Week Award. Valo posted a .667 batting average with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week while scoring 4 runs. For the week he was 12 for 18. This year, Valo has hit at a .382 clip with 47 RBIs, 15 home runs and 50 runs scored. |
