Grace Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, July 16th , 2001 WBL Triple A pitchers will attest that it was tough to get Mark Grace of the Columbus Blue Birds out last week. His all-around performance at the plate made him the league's most recent Player of the Week. The 28-year-old first baseman boasted a .647 average with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Grace went 11-for-17 for the week. For the season, Grace has produced 81 hits in 234 at-bats for a .346 average with 14 home runs and gotten on base at a .412 clip. |
