The Louisville Redbirds pitcher hurled a 2-hit, 4-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 7 strikeouts. "Bartolo is good at getting out of jams," Redbirds manager Bobby Ward told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." On his stats sheet this season, Colón shows a 6-6 record, 13 starts, 90.1 innings, 93 strikeouts and a 4.18 ERA. |
