Bad Behavior Costs Ramírez and Meadows Monday, August 6th , 2001 Aramis Ramírez of San Antonio and Lee Meadows of Milwaukee were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Ramírez will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Meadows was given 9 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. For the year, Ramírez is batting .228 with 12 home runs. This year, Meadows has worked 47 innings with 48 strikeouts en route to a 3-0 record and a 3.06 ERA. |
