Season Ends for Johnson Saturday, August 11th , 2001 Obviously disappointed, Si Johnson confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Toronto starting pitcher offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 36-year-old Johnson suffered a torn meniscus on 08/09/2001 and has been out of action since. To date this year, Johnson shows a 4-4 record, 10 starts, 65 innings, 61 strikeouts and a 7.48 ERA. |
