Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Mike Jorgensen can celebrate.

The Las Vegas Aces center fielder powered three into the stands at Weeghman Park against the Columbus Blue Birds.

"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Jorgensen told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."

In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Aces toppled Columbus by a score of 10-1, knocking in 4 runs and scoring 3 times.

"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Las Vegas manager Joe Boyd said. "He gets the ball up in the air."

Mike Jorgensen hit a solo-shot off Joaquín Andújar in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Joaquín Andújar in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joaquín Andújar in the 8th and struck out in the 8th.

Thus far this season, Jorgensen is hitting .300 with 32 home runs, 59 RBIs and 78 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 307 at-bats and has played in 84 games.
