Rays Listless in 7-0 Loss to Brewers
Tuesday, August 21st , 2001
Dick Rudolph of the Milwaukee Brewers spun his magic on the Orlando Rays. He blanked them, 7-0, on 3 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 3 walks.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Rudolph said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Milwaukee skipper Justin Spraggins said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Dick pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

This season, Rudolph has crafted a 5-9 mark with a 6.57 ERA in 97.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .293 against him and he has 76 strikeouts.
