AAA's Star Player Named Monday, August 27th , 2001 26-year-old Jack Hannifin made a few Las Vegas headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and WBL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .400 average. Hannifin collected 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 10 runs. Batting .279 to date, Hannifin has 63 home runs and 125 RBIs. |
