Hannifin Grabs AAA Best Batter Award for August Saturday, September 1st , 2001 Jack Hannifin has a lot going for him. The Las Vegas first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the WBL Triple A has just picked him as its top hitter for August. In 23 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .344 with 20 home runs, 40 RBIs and 33 runs scored. For the season, Hannifin is hitting at a .274 clip with 63 home runs, 126 RBIs and has scored 104 runs. He has 122 hits, 43 walks and a .339 on-base percentage. |
