Diaz Receives Updated Diagnosis Tuesday, September 4th , 2001 Carlos Diaz could soon be placed on the injured list. The Atlanta reliever told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 5 months because of shoulder inflammation. He hasn't played since 08/31/2001 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there." This season in 18 relief appearances, Diaz has thrown 18.2 innings and collected no saves. His won-lost record is 4-0 with a 2.89 ERA. |
