Ollie Pickering Calls it a Career Thursday, September 6th , 2001 Ollie Pickering announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Newark Eagles organization. Pickering, who is 39 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future. "I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all." Pickering went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference. "I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said. |
