Blues Win Round 1

WBL Triple A fans were certainly not disappointed with this WBL Triple A Round 1.
The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the St. Louis Blues prevailing over the Norfolk Tides to advance to the Round 2.
St. Louis won the final game by a score of 4-1 at Kauffman Stadium and that sealed the series 4-3.
"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said right fielder Steve Evans, who earned MVP honors.
For the series, Evans hit .353 with a .476 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The St. Louis Blues will play against the Hartford Dark Blues in the next round. Hartford won their series against the Queens Kings 4 games to 3. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
