Queens's Redding Elbows His Way to AAA Award

The Queens Kings have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Dick Redding, this year's WBL Triple A Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Redding compiled a 14-7 record in 29 starts, tallied 199 strikeouts in 182 innings and recorded a 3.46 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .231 batting average against him.

He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 20. Mark Baldwin of the Washington Senators finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while John Denny of the Queens Kings finished third.
