Lindstrom 5-for-5 Against Atlanta Saturday, April 13th , 2002 It was a sensational day at the plate for Freddie Lindstrom as he led the charge to a nifty 6-5 win over the X Giants. The Milwaukee third baseman was pure misery for the Atlanta pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Lindstrom put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Ricky Bischoff, manager for the X Giants, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Freddie Lindstrom doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Pretzels Getzien in the 8th. To date, Lindstrom has collected 9 hits for a .391 average. He has posted 1 home run, scored 4 runs and driven in 3 runs. |
