Bad News for Ripple and Louisville Saturday, April 27th , 2002 All is not well with Jimmy Ripple in his recovery from a sore wrist. The 25-year-old Redbirds center fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Ripple and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Ripple had re-injured himself and would now miss at least one week because of it. Ripple is currently hitting .250 with no home runsand 1 RBIs, while scoring 2 runs. |
