Super Week for Jacksonville's Schoop! Monday, May 29th , 2000 So far in his young career, Jonathan Schoop has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the High Indy American in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Jacksonville Red Caps second baseman hit at a torrid .333 clip as he collected 7 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Schoop has 18 home runs and a .326 batting average. |
