Sconiers's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Tuesday, July 11th , 2000 Daryl Sconiers's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-5 in a 11-4 Tampa Bay Tarpons triumph over the Boston Pilgrims at South End Grounds. The 25-year-old first baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Tarpons. Daryl Sconiers doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season Sconiers is batting .331 with 20 home runs. |
