Kokomo, Oakland Agree to Swap Thursday, July 20th , 2000 Both sides appear content with the trade finalized today that will send 28-year old minor league RHP Jason Marquis to the Oakland Oaks, while the Kokomo Jackrabbits will receive 24-year old minor league 3B Lenny Faedo. "This is a move that filled a few gaps in our roster," said Rick Burgess, Jackrabbits general manager. For his part, the Oaks GM said the trade was made "in the best interest of our organization's future." BNN analysts reported that on paper the trade seemed to be a plus for both ball clubs. This season Marquis has registered 5 wins and 3 losses in 11 starts with a 6.91 ERA. |
