Player of the Week: Dallas's Lis Monday, July 24th , 2000 It was announced today that Dallas first baseman Joe Lis had received the High Indy National Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week. All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .348 BA (8-for-23), 6 home runs and 11 RBIs. This season Lis is batting .275 with 100 hits, 32 home runs, 96 RBIs, 46 walks, .371 OBP and has scored 71 runs. He has played in 95 games. |
