Westbrook Nets HIN #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, August 1st , 2000 The Fresno Grizzlies felt very secure when they sent Jake Westbrook out to the hill last month. The 29-year-old starter went after High Indy National hitters with a vengeance and earned July's Pitcher of the Month award. He went 5-1 with a 2.36 ERA as he struck out 42 in 45.2 innings over 6 starts. In 22 starts this season Westbrook has chalked up a 12-6 record and a 3.45 ERA. |
