Star of the Week Selected in HIA Monday, August 7th , 2000 Last week Wes Schulmerich was the toast of Tallahassee and the talk of the High Indy American -- this week he's the HIA Player of the Week. The standout right fielder sewed up the award with his .714 average (10-for-14), 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs. Thus far this year Schulmerich is batting .264 with 23 home runs, 73 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
