Trappers Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Sunday, August 20th , 2000 The Salt Lake City Trappers had all facets of their game going and have swept the Denver Bears in the Round 1. Salt Lake City now heads off to the Round 2, after wrapping up the series with a 4-1 win. Ron Fairly was named MVP, as he put up a .533 batting average, with a .562 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Salt Lake City Trappers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Dallas Longhorns - Fresno Grizzlies series. Dallas leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
