Thoroughbreds Move on to Round 3 Thursday, August 31st , 2000 The Lexington Thoroughbreds are off to the Round 3. By a final score of 4-0 at Whitaker Park, Lexington ended the Round 2 and knocked out the Tampa Bay Tarpons by a series score of 4-2. "Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said Nick Etten, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the WBL High Indy playoffs." For the series, Etten hit .435 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Lexington Thoroughbreds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fresno Grizzlies - Salt Lake City Trappers series. Salt Lake City leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
