Trappers Beat Thoroughbreds in Round 3 Sunday, September 10th , 2000 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Salt Lake City Trappers, that meant the WBL High Indy Round 3 trophy. The Trappers took a 4-2 victory over the Lexington Thoroughbreds at Whitaker Park, winning their 1st championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Trappers second baseman Martin Prado, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
