Erskine Electric in 6-0 El Paso Win Friday, August 4th , 2000 Today was Carl Erskine's turn in the rotation for the El Paso Sun Kings and he made the most of it, shutting out the Mobile Bay Bears on 2 hits. The 27-year-old right-hander led the Sun Kings to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 15 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Mobile manager Dave Lackland said. "Erskine certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
