Demons Chill Schaal's Hot Streak Friday, August 11th , 2000 The 24-game hitting streak of Paul Schaal has come to an end. The Greensboro Grasshoppers third baseman went 0-for-3 today in his team's 5-1 loss to the Des Moines Demons at Sec Taylor Stadium. "It's not just Paul who came up short today," Grasshoppers manager Billy Sheeley said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." This season Schaal is batting .314 with 96 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 47 times and has 51 RBI. |
