15 Ks for Cascarella, Beats Trenton 5-3 Monday, August 28th , 2000 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Joe Cascarella, the Chattanooga Rats topped the Trenton Thunder today by a score of 5-3 at Engel Stadium. The 27-year-old Cascarella brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 6 hits and giving up 2 walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Thunder manager Joel Hueth said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." In 20 starts this year Cascarella has posted 7 wins while suffering 9 losses.
