5-for-6 Day for Alusik Tuesday, August 29th , 2000 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for George Alusik today. Alusik went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Cienfuegos pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Estadio 5 de Septiembre, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Richmond Flying Squirrels had a 14-6 victory over the Elefantes. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. George Alusik hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
