Carl Erskine Captures Rookie of Month Friday, September 1st , 2000 An exciting talent to watch over the past month, Carl Erskine made quite an impression. Today the WBL Mid National selected him as August's Rookie of the Month. The 27-year-old hurler for El Paso made 5 starts with 5 wins and no losses while tossing 41.2 innings and collecting 60 strikeouts. During the last month opponents managed to hit .154 against him as he put up a fine 0.86 ERA. So far this season Erskine has a 12-5 record, 20 starts, 153.2 innings, 200 strikeouts and a 2.87 ERA. |
