Dodgers CF Bradford Suspended 4 Games Sunday, September 3rd , 2000 Buddy Bradford, center fielder for the Nashua Dodgers, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 4-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Des Moines. After being called out on strikes, Bradford stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Bradford told BNN today. This season Bradford is batting .295 with 103 hits, 25 home runs, 70 RBIs, 47 walks, .394 OBP and has scored 65 runs. He has played in 94 games. |
