Flying Squirrels Take It on Chin, Lose, 10-0, to Tucson Tuesday, September 5th , 2000 Today was Early Wynn's turn in the rotation for the Tucson Sidewinders and he made the most of it, shutting out the Richmond Flying Squirrels on 6 hits. The 40-year-old right-hander led the Sidewinders to an easy 10-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 11 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Richmond manager Nate Hoffman said. "Wynn certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
