Swamp Dragons, Podbielan Stonewall Spokane, 5-0 Friday, September 8th , 2000 The Shreveport Swamp Dragons rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Spokane Bunchgrassers at Ferris Field today. Leading the way to victory was starter Bud Podbielan, who shackled the Spokane Bunchgrassers and held them scoreless on a 6-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Podbielan said in his postgame press conference. To date this season Podbielan sports a 8-4 mark with a 3.69 ERA in 19 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .240 batting average and has 136 strikeouts in 131.2 innings.
