Grissom Goes 5-for-5
Fans at Roanoke Ballpark got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season.

The Roanoke Magicians outplayed the Kenosha Comets en route to a 13-2 win, but the standout was center fielder Marquis Grissom. Grissom netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line.

"Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Comets manager Randy Del Giudice said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too."

Marquis Grissom hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Skip Pitlock in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Max Butcher in the 8th.

Thus far this season in 32 games Grissom is batting .353 with 17 home runs, 44 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 136 at-bats.
