Grays Win Nail-Biter
|
Owen Wilson was a major contributor to the 6-5 Homestead win over Ottawa. The Grays right fielder was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win puts Homestead at 54-45 this season.
Rick Reichardt went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Homestead. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Clark Griffith. It was his 19th walk of the season.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Wilson. "You've got to get results."
