Biloxi Wins, Grieve hits 26th home run
|
The Biloxi Shuckers topped the Lynchburg Hillcats by the score of 7-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Ben Grieve. Grieve went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Shuckers. The Shuckers move to 21-27 with the win, while the Hillcats drop to 28-20.
With Biloxi leading 1-0 in the top of the sixth, Grieve hit a fastball from Darren O'Day for a 2-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Shuckers ahead, 3-0.
"We had a nice day," said Biloxi skipper Pat McCaskill.
