The Camagüey Toros did just enough to secure a victory over the Armstrong's Secret Nine, 6-5, at The Jazz Palace. Nobody did more than designated hitter Buck Martinez. The winner in relief was Scott Schoeneweis. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Jared Hughes recorded the save, his 1st.

Camagüey needed the clutch hitting of Chick Fulmer to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Toros on top, 5-3. For the game, Fulmer had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Martinez.

The victory gives the Toros a record of 25-22.
