Robertson Helps Sugar Kings Win, 12-9, with Pair of Homers
Jim Robertson was the difference-maker for the Havana Sugar Kings in what turned into a shootout with the Galveston Black Pirates. Robertson went 2-for-3 in the 12-9 Sugar Kings win. Phil Stremmel, 2-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Yes, it was a win for Havana; but their 10-40 record is still nothing to boast about.

One significant plate appearance for Havana came with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. Sugar Kings third baseman Rocky Bridges hit a 2-run single, which helped his team go on to win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bridges said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
