Toros Stun Comets, 6-5
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Camagüey Toros and Kenosha Comets.

The Camagüey Toros topped the Kenosha Comets by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was shortstop Chick Fulmer. Fulmer was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Toros. The 4th-place Comets have dropped 4 straight games.

The Toros beat the Comets with some clutch hitting. The single by Dode Criss in the bottom of the eighth is a good example. With two down, Criss gave his team the lead, 6-5, when he came through with the big hit.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Criss told the Camagüey Daily News.
