The Corpus Christi Hooks downed the Roanoke Magicians, 14-7, at Roanoke Ballpark. Irish Meusel led the way, going 3-for-5 for Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi is now 53-25, 5½ games up in the WBL Rook American INDY RA - South.

Corpus Christi needed the clutch hitting of Ned Harris to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hooks on top, 9-7. For the game, Harris had 2 home runs and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
