The Armstrong's Secret Nine weathered an outstanding game by Camagüey shortstop Chick Fulmer to topple the Toros, 11-10. Fulmer was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Earning the save was Rick Lysander. He's now cashed in 17 of 19 save opportunities. With the win, the Secret Nine have a record of 45-34.

Roy Howell, who is on pace to hit 51 home runs this season, aided the Armstrong's cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a walk.

"This is a very good team," said Howell. "We have the chance to do something special."
