7-1 Triumph Takes Lynchburg to 50-33
|
Getting an impressive start from Mike Wegener, Lynchburg beat Camagüey by the score of 7-1. The 4th-place Toros have lost 5 consecutive games.
The Hillcats got a big at-bat from right fielder Dave Martinez. For the game, Martinez went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Lynchburg a 3-0 lead.
"Mike was pounding the zone," said Lynchburg manager Andrew Lantsman.
